A British. guard'sman and? four Jewish terrorists were killed in an attack against Citrus ' House, British Miiiitary Hea'd'qiiarters, 'rei' Aviv, reports Eeuter 's' Jerusalem correspondent. A ]3:rit; ish constable, a Pa-Iesliniaai eonstableand 15 Jews were injured. The British repulsed tlie attack after a leugthy exclmnge of sllots. The terrorists user. mortars- and niachineguns.. Three lieavy explosions heralded. tlie attack. TlLe terrorists began shooting' wlien ehallenged by a sentry. Another gang tlirew grenades at the Arona police station- near Citrus House aird- wounded two Ara'b policemen. The terrorists left booby traps and road mines and two armoured cars were blown up by the mines. Tliey were part of the niilitary and police force rushed to Citrus House. There were no casualties among the craws. B'ullets eutting. electricity wires caused a biackout'in part of Te! Aviv. British sokliers i'li another part oi Tei Aviv were attaeked with mortars and the terrorists made a diversionary attack on the Jaffa police station. Tlie British United' Press correspond ent reports that oil tanks in the neighbourhood of Tel Aviv- railway station. are on iire. They were seen burning after tlie attack 011 Citrus House. ■ I11 Jerusalem, where ,a number of explosions were heard' during the dav, three .British soldiers were injured when. grenades were- tlirown from a fast moving- car. I11 the Rehavia district terrorists also made a grenade attack a-gainst an army camp- in Allenby road, Ha-ifa, and injured two British polieeiiien. Eight were injured in three outbreaks of violence in northern Palestine.
