It has sometimes been stated that unless a writer descends to the pornographic, his chances of success are slim nowadays. This of course is absurd. Actually uhe domand for the healthier type of story is greater than it has ever been. Frovided it is well-writtgii, the good sound yarn will always find readers. Proof, if needed, can be found in the large circulatibn of "The Australian JoUrnal." There is nothing weak oi: namby-pamby about the contents of the Fsbruary issue, but thete is not a story which couldn't be read with pleasure by anyone. Australian wtiters Catherine Shepherd, Rex, GraySon, Keith Douglas Young, Georgia Rivers and R. G. Perry head an issue which offers remarkable Value for sixpence.
