BRITAIN WILL CO-OPERATE IN GREECE
NEW YORK, Mar. 5. Britain has sent a note to United States stating slie would cooperate witli America if America deeided to assum • primary responsibility in Greece because of Britain 's economic difficulties, says the New York Times' Washingtou •vorrespondent. The note is also reporred to have stated that Britain did no: intend to withdraw lier troops from Greece immediately. It is understood Britain does not contemplate with-. drawal until 90 days after the Bulgarian peace treaty goes into effect. Russia will simultaneously withdraw her forces from Bulgaria. The British promise of eooperation has reassured State Department officials because it signifies that. any suggestions made by United States to tlie Athen: Governnient for the improvement oi conditions in Greece, could be expected to be supported , by Britain. The promise would also lessen the temptation for Greek politicians to play Britain against United States.
