FOXTON SWIMMERS IN LEVIN

EYENTS WITH LOCAL CLUB On Tuesday evening members of the Foxton Amateur Swimming Club joutneyed to Levin to spend a combined club hour with the Levih Club. The events staged were all from scratch, and the friendly rivalry and keenness shown by all members augurs well for future eontests between the clubs. Mr. N. D. Tilley, president of the Levin Club, weicomed the visitors and expressed gratification at the revival of a swimming club in Foxton, and assured them that his club would give them every assistahce. Mr. G. Johnstone replied on behalf of the Foxton Club, and thanked the local members for the invitation to Levin and for th/^ery enjoyable evening. . . l .. A feature of the evening^'programme was a water polo match, which Levin won by six goals. to nil. This is the first water polo match held in Levin since 1939.
