APPLAUSE IN COMMONS FOR GIFTS
Received Thursday, 10.20 a.m. LONDON, March 5. Announcing in the House of Commons, amiid applause, Australia's and New Zealand's money gifts for the reduction of the burden of the people of the United Kingdom, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. Dalton said they were one more nroof that members of the British Commonwealth were members of one family, no less closely united in peace than in war. Mr. Dalton added that he was sending a message of thanks and deep appreciation to both Governments.
