TEL AVIV BANKS CLOSE FOR LACK OF CURRENCY
Received Wednesday, 9.40 a.m. LONDON, March 4. All Tel Aviv banks were closed today, the official reason being a lack of currency, says the Associated Press Jerusalem correspondent. Depositors withdrew about £1,000,000 yesterday, apparently fearing an official closure of th§ banks.
