Wjnning eight of 15 rounds in a professional boxjng contes-t at the Town HaH tonight, Ian Cruickshank (10.3i), Dunedin, outpointed Jack Duncan (10,6 J), Auckland, to take the vacant welterweight New Zealand title and Truth belt. It was a .bout between fairly evenly matched boxers with few d'amag'ing punches but Duncan tired Ixidly in the closing stages.
