..TIMARU, March 3. Estimated to yield a cheque total-' ling nearly £1,000,000, the third wool sale at Timaru was regarded as beingparticularly satisfactory ' from thegrowers' point of viewi There was an offering o.f .34,127 bales. Strong purchasing power was maintained throughout as is'psual at Timaru saies. There was a large quantity of Merino and halfbred wools which were keenly sought after, particularly by loeal mills. Competition was well spread, the Continent taking a heavy weight with local flnns on the market for super lots. Prices were firin on the Christchurch sale last week, The highest being 39d for binned super Merino. Passings to the Joint Organisation were few and far between. The offiqial range of prices was not available tonight.
