" ^ otaki defeat shannon A team representing the Otaki Tennis Club was successful in defeating the Shannon team in an inter-club fixture at Shannon on Saturday. The standard of tennis played during the afternoon was very high, and some closelycontested games resulted. Otaki won 116 games to Shannon's 92, but the number of sets was equal. both securing eight each.
