LOST £7000 OF EMPLOYER'S MONEY IN GAMBLING

' During one year James Anthony Creagh, aged 37, an aecountant stol'e £7000 from his employer and lost it in betting, aeeording to the police evidence in the quarter sessions today. He pleaded guilty to three charges of stealing a total of £2811 from his employer and was senteneed to three years' imprisqnment. The police stated that accused had been eonvicted in 1939 of tlie theft pf £563 from his employer apd had been released 011 a bond. Trouble with starting price bookmgkers had led to the thef ts.
