24,000 PUBLIC SERVANTS INCENSED
DENIAL OF THEIR ELEMENTARY RIGHTS WELLINGTON, Feb. 28. The executive oflieers of the New Zealand Public Services Association decided today to niake an imniediato direct approach to Ihe Prime Minister on the refusal by tlie PubJie Service Commission to receive any repre•sentations from the Association. - Tlie acting-president of the Association (Mr. L. (L Anderson) said: "Twenty-four thousand publie servants liave been denied ihe elementary rights of re])resentation enjoyed I)y other groups of employees through this actjon on flte part of the chairman of the Publie Service Commission, and pulilic servants all over New Zealand are incensed by this decision. Protest resolutions have been re ceived from publie servants fhroughout tlie eonntrv and we eaniiot believe that the ftovernment will allow this impossibie ■position to eontinue."
