WOMAN KILLED BY FALL FROM TRAIN
Ais the result of falling from the Auckland cxpress ut the Taihape railway station ou Wodnesday evening, Mrs. Florence Juanita Heurv, whose husband resides at Turua, near Paeroa, died from injuries received, a fcw minutes after the accident. Mrs. llenry was a sccond-elass pnssenger on the (rain, and apparcnlly utte'mpted lo alight from the earriage before it sto[»pud. She i'cll between the traiu aud the platform, reeeiving severe injuries iucludiug a brokeu pclvis, two bvokcu aukles and fae.ial injuries. I)r. II. lil. llay was called to the scene, but Mrs. llenry died witliiu a few minutes of his arrival. Alrs. llenry, who was an elderly woman, joined the express at Palmer-, ston North after gpending a holiday with her sister-iu-law, Mrs. II. It. Groen, of Kairanga. Shc was to alight. at Frankton to spend a few days with her sisler. bei'oro returuing to Turua, Mrs. lleury was travelling iu one of the front carriages of the express, and whcn the traiu came to a stop her earriage was some distauce past the refreshment rooms. It is believod thoro was at least one witness to the accident, bul it was soipe time before Ihe other passengers were aware of what had happened.
