Alta* Vases Recovered Two brass altar vases stolen from St. Matthew's Church, Auckland, on Friday, have been recovered by the verger. They were returned by a second-hand dealer, who would not accept any recompense, as soon as he heard of their loss in the: Press. The thief who sold them toi the dealer has not yet . been apprehended. Federated Farmers' Decision It was decided at last night's meeting of the Levin Branch of the Federated Farmers tihat the branch . continue with Friday night meetings until further notiee. If this night was found unsuitable by me-mbers, then the meeting time could be changed at the annual general meeting which wiil be held in April: Massey College Demonstration At last night's meeting of the Levin Branch of the Federated Farmers, a letter was received from the Manawata executive pointing out that Massey College intended to giy'e a demonstration towards the end. of March on drainIng. This' demonstration would be a repetitlon of^a previous one but in a modified form. ,

To Assist with Housing In an effort to assist in the relief of the housing shortage, the annual : conference of the New Zealand Federated Builders and Contractors' Industrial Association of Employers adopted a resolution asking the Mafeter Builders' Associations throughout the Dominion to submit to the federation sugges-. tions foi\ the al'leviation of the shortage vin their own districts.
