When the vessel called at Cairns for a few hours 011 Fridav, Customs oflicers found over 100 .fapanese gut fishing lines, 45 strings of eultured pearls, 4000 American cigarettes and some gin coneealed in vat'ious parts of t'lie v6'sse;l. The pearls were in the pockets of eoats hangi ng behind doors and the lines were found in odd eorncrs and even under empty bottles.
