Ten fireift'en fightiiig a fire in the Hniversity 6f Washington's fisheries d'epaTtment at Seat'tle, were aifect-ed by afomic radiatien when they carri'bd' whfer in barrels brought from the B'ikini aitom bomb tests. The harrels had' eontained fish, sheiliish and shells' takeu from thb Bikini lagoon to the tfniversity for study and were still radio active. Some of the men's hands- were affected. Others had gloves bnrned, A doctor said the exposure was slight and would- soon wear off.
