MANAKAU W.I.
The usual monthly meeting of the Manakau Women's Institute was held recently in the Town Hall, Miss Cotter presiding. Owing to the damage to gardehs during the recent storm, the flowbr show was postponed to- March §. During the afternoon Mrs. Bennett gave a very interesting talk on a visit to Australia. Competitions resulted as fdllows. — Best flower: Mrs. Staples 1, Mrs. Neilson 2: fruie pie: Mrs. Dofset 1, Mrs. Neilson 2. Hostesses for the afternoon wefe Mesdames Willis, Behhett aiid Barberry.
