TOURNAMENT AT RAILWAY
There was almost a full green at Otaki Railway yesterday when a tournament of an interesting nature resulted. Rinks were present from various parts of Wellington, Petone, Levin and Otaki, and games were keenly contested. Wilson (Petone) eventually proved the winner, with Merwood (Otaki) runners-up. The latter beat Lawrie in the semi-final but went Under to Petone by a point in a five-head game. Splendid bowling was witnessed. ( Following are the results of ■ games: — Wilson, Lawrie and Merwood, four games each; McClune (Levin) and Moffit (Wellington) , three games each, Hurrell, Simonds, two each; Syinonds, Day Osborne, Short, Fitzgerald and Barrow, one each; Booth, nil. Playing on the Otaki Railway green in a senior singles match Symonds defeated Bailey 23 to 18, and A. D. Webster defeated Booth 20 to 19.
