' A woman who was travelliug from Whangarei to meet her husband on his 1 discharge from hospital, was a passen- ' ger in a car which was involved in aj collision with a truek 011 a sharp turn ■ just north of Silverdale earlyjon iSat- j urday morning. She was Mrs. Jeannie! Carr, aged. 47, of Ngunguru, Whangarei,' whose husband, Mr. George Carr, had; been a patient in hospital since Decem- j ber. After being taken to Auckland hospital she was treated for sliock in Ihe casualty department.* "Other ' -occupanis of the car injured were: — Maureen Carr, aged 17, sliop assist- ' ant, daughter of Mrs. Carr, admitted to j Auckland Hospital suffering from concussion and fractured jawr. Her coudi- 1 •tion is fair. . Jenny Carr, aged 9, daughter of Mrs.! Carr, treated for shock. . 1 Jack Brown, aged 23, of Whangarei, j driver of the car who was travcllihg toi | Auckland to attend a wedding. ' . He i was treated for shock aiitl minor injur- j | ies at the casualty department. The : truck was driven by Edward ' Victor Harris, aged 23, of Hamilton, who was ' carrying water pipes and had pulled up before tiv* collision occurred.
