INTERHOUSE MARCHING CHAMPIONSHIPS
HASTINGS, Feb. 23. Premier national honours in the interhouse marching events Went to Shaiv's, Kilties (Hastings) when some 400 girl's partieipated in the New Zealand Marching a'nd Redreational Assoclation's championships at Hastings on Saturday. About 6000 spectators, in perfect weather, saw 36 teams from Dunedin, Timaru, Christchurch, Westport, Nelson, Blenheim, Wellington, Hutt, Petone, Masterton, Pahiatua, Dannevirke, Hastings, "Rotorua, Wairoa and Gisborne. The events were witnessed by the Minister of ' Internal Aiiairs, Hon. W. E. Parry. Results: — New Zealand marching ehampionship (Parry Cup and Medal) : Shaw's Kilties (Hastings) 196.58 points, Blair Athol (Dunedin) 195i, Arawa (Nelson) 192f. Aggregate points (Hanan Shield): Shaw's Kilties 244| points, Blair Athol 243|, Arawa 23 9 J. . Champion leader (Lustre Shield): Miss C. Hawker (Blair Athol) 48g, Miss M.
