Would Like to Train Murphy
He'said that what he particularly noticed about Murphy in the ring, was his lack of speed in fqotwo'rk. "He might be nin\ble enough as far as boxing goes in this country, but he would find overseas that he was not fast enough. Also, I think he sho'uld use his right more effectively and frequently. He used it throughput the fight for one purpose — as a guard. But, as you might have noticed, I proved to him tha$ I could get under it with effecfive jabs. No, Bos should concentfate on two-fisted fighting. "If I gbt the opportunity, I wpuld like to take him in my charge and in say six months I think I could prove that in Bos Murphy fhis country has a boxer of world cl-ass. His footwork— oh how I would delight in speeding it up for him. He is a courageous boxer «jid, : again, I must say-I hold the hf|hest opinion ,of 'him. He shpfild securp the. services of a trainer with overseas experience. I would like to help him — maybe he will give me an opportunity to cor^ect him in a few vital points." Jcnes was as fresh as a dapsy when he left the dressing ropm, whereas Bos was a little the worse for wear.'
