One of Vietoria's most notorlous gunmen, 'Hugh Martin, will be deported to Ireland uext month. He was sentenced to 20 years ' gaol in 1932 for' an armed hold-up and the wounding ofa constable and eerved 15 years of the sentene.e. Tlie , Immigration Depart•ment •has advised the gaol go.vernor to 'hoid Martin for release pending deportation. Martin -was born in Ireland and had keen -in Australia for only three years prior to conviction.
