The maximum eateh this season was limited by internation al agrcenicnt to 1 (3 .(>00 blue whale units a uait being a blue whale not less than 70 feet long. The British lead all e.xpeditions this year. with two of the largest faetory ships, eai-h eqnipped with radar and spotting |)lanes. The season onds 011 April 7.
