LEVIN FARM BOYS' OUTING
rotary club arranges day at waitarere A most enjoyable day was spent at Waitarere Beach on Wednesday by the boys of the Levin Farm, Kimberley Road, when they were given an outing by the Levin Rotary Club. The 84 boys were taken in buses to the beach. where a commodious seafront house served as an excellent base for the day's activities. The boys ehgaged in a wide vafiety bf occupations and games. A mbstantial picnic lunch was dispensed, provihg most popula'r, and ( oncluded with a spirited communlty sing. Thfe main feature of- the •afternoon was a cricket match on .he sand between a teain of the boys and a team of Rotarians. The boys deserved and enjoved their wih. Ahother meal, quickly ahd efficientlv served at the house. ahd community singing ended a bright amd happy day enjoyed by the boys, .he farm staff and Rotarians alike. This is the second such outing ihe club has given- -the boys, a nrnilar one having beeh arranged l&st year.
