lieceived Tuesdav, 7.20 p.m. NEW YORK, Feb. 18. In flying over the South Pole 011 Sunday, Eear Admiral Byrd dropped minia ture flags of the 54 member nations of [Jnited Nations and not a United Nations flag as at flrst reported. CJnited Nations offieials were mystifled by the report that a IJnited Nation3 flag was dropped over the Pole. There is no Fnited Nations flag. Reveral selfappointed agencies liave submitted pians for such a flag, but tlie Fnited Nations liave not so far aecepted any.
