DUNEDIN, Feb. 17. In delianee of the decision of the E'rice Tribunal not to ailow retailers an increase in the price of oysters for which they applied, Dunedin fish merchants have deeided to increase tlie price themselres. Consequently, when the first oysters of the season arrive in the shops tomorrow morning, they will be retailed at 7d per dozen in the fitell and 9d per dozen opened. This eonstitutes a rise of a halfpenuy per dozenxin the price allowed by tlie Price Tribunal. On Friday the Dunedin Fish Retailers' Assoeiation reeeived advice from the Price Tribunal that "in order
to compensate retailers the Tribunal had approvcd an increase of a half1 penny per dozen." This iucreased the retail price in Dunedin from 6d to 6-\d in tlie shcll and from 8d to 8id opened. The late reply to the Association 's representations gave it little oxtportunity to make furtlier claims for an increase and so it was decided that, peiiding the result of fresh uegotiations, Ihe retail price should be 7d iu the shell aud 9d opened.
