FLOWER SHOW ABANDONED
The Levin Hortieultural Soeiety's autumn show, which was, to have been held tomorrow, has now been eancelled. The society wishes to apologise to all for taking tnis drastie step, which in the circumstaflces was the only possible coUrse. Flowers ahd gardens which were four days ago a glorious riot of colour are now nothing but a stiene of desolation and heartache. The flower show this year was expegted to be a record, but the secretai'y of the society, Mrs. K. Lynch, said today that practically every grower in the district had suffered heavily, esppcially with dahlr.s and gladioli.
