Situation: An anticyclone south - east of Tasmania extcnds on to the South Island and a complex low pressure system covers the North Island. Foreeast to 5 p.m. Saturday: Moderate south-easterlies, later freshening. Weather cloudy to overcast with further rain, but gradual improvement tomorrow. Temperatures cold. Further outlook: Fair to cloudy.
