STRAW VOTE FAVOURS SIX O'CLOCK CLOSING

Received Friday 9.0 p.m. SYDXEY, Feb. 14. . According to a State-wide aurvey on a gallup poll system, more than sixtv per cent of the votes in tomorrow's ref'erendum on hotel hours, are expeeted to favour a continuance of six o'clock closing. Of hundreds of people ques tioned, men gave a 52 per cent majority for six o'clock and women a 74 per cent. Four country towns have now receiv ed permission to postpone the vote and the Electoral Commissioner is standing by for further aetion as weather reports are received. Early reports indicate that postponements are possible m several towns in the northAvest.
