UNUSUAL CATCH

KINGFISH LANDED LOCALLY Weighing 22 lbs when cleanded, and estimated at three feet in iength, a kingfish was caught from the shore at Waitarere Beach on i Thursday. It is believed that this is the first time this species has been found ' so near to the shore, as it is norm- , ally thought to be a deep sea fish. The successful angler was Mrs. W. G. Clark, of Levin, and she states that when cleaned it was found to contain four herring.
