NO COAL, NO BEER
Received Thursday, 7 p.m. LONDON, Feb. 13. Beer stocks that big breweries hold in the fnel cnt areas are* dwindlin^ rapidly and some will be exhausted in a fortnight. Parts of England, even ii coal and electricity are available by that time, will be dry for two to four- . weeks. An official of 'the Brewers ' Society in London said 3xe would be sur prised if any brewery had a coal stock for more than a week. The breweries inaiuly depended on coal, a few on oil, and one or two 011 gas. Five tobacco firnite have eeased production because of the power cut, and wholesalers prediet a shortage of cigarettes. •
