William Oreen, the presidenl of the American Federation of Labour, has cabled to Mr. Bevin expressing alarm at the Palestine developments and concern that the Jews sliould again be puliished bv the imposition of niartial law in Palestine. Mr. Oreen urged that it sliould be avoided and the doors quiekly opened to persecuted Jewish people.
