Euchre Winners The Shannon branch of the Labour Party held its weekly j cuchre tournament in Laurvig's jHall on Friday evenine. There was ia good muster of players and the prize-winners were Mr. J. Sinclair and Mrs. D. McLaggan.

Marching Teams For Tokomaru The two Shannoh marching teams will visit Tokomaru and present a display at 6.30 p.m. this evening. The object of the display is to enable the newly-formed Tokomaru team to see teams in action, and to encourage the public of Tokomaru to iake an active interest in their team. Local teams are reminded that the bus will leave j the post office at 6 p.m. | Local Bowling Success The local R.S.A. rink, which comprised Messrs. J. T. Bovis, R. Hook, V. J. Bateman and I. P. Hemmingsen, were suecessful in winI ning the trophy in the Levin R.S.A. (tournament on Sunday, when they defeated a rink skipped by Mr. C. (Spearman, of Christchurch, the i New Zealand champion. In the j weekend bowling tournament hold on the local green the winning rink jwas Messrs. A. R. Mills, T. Bell, F. Edmonds and N. Batt, who defeated a Foxton rink skipped by Mr. Hcpner.
