MISS CHAMBERLAIN HONOURED
Miss ' Marguarite Chamberlain, whose wedding will take piace shortly in New Plymouth, was the guest of honour at a kitchen tea given on her behalf by her biidesmaids to be, Misses Beatrix Harper and Beryl D'Ath. . . The reception, rooms at the residence of Mrs. . Wallace D Al1i, Waerenga Road, were most artisticaily aecorated with nuge dowis oi autumn blooms, which attracted much admiration from the laige crowd present. -Delicious afternoon tea, with tables weighed down with delectabie viands, was served, after which the opening of the parcels took place. These proved to be of varied and various types and testified to the popularity of the bride to; be. Two amusing competitions were won by Mrs. R. Knight and Mrs. E. Jensen.
Prior to breakmg up, me neann of Miss Chamberlain was drunk to musical honours. Miss Chamberlain was wearing pink silk linen, with white hat; Miss Beatrix Harper, eau de nil with silver buckle; Miss Beryl D'Ath, pale blue floral with cyelamen tonings; Mrs. Chamberlain, off white costume and Nile green hat; Mrs. W. D'Ath, pink floral; and Mrs. P. Harper, Queen Mary blue model frock with hat ro ma„ch.
