ROTORUA, Feb. 9. When Contango, favourite for the Tourist Handicap at the Rotorua meeting, stumbled, his rider, J. R. Gillies, was thrown and kicked on the head by his mount and he was taken to the Rotorua Hospital suffering from concussion. His condition was reported today (Sunday) to be satisfactory. The Rotorua Racing Club 's annual meeting was held 011 Saturday in line weather and the course was hard and fast.
