GERMAN COMMANDER FOUND
Received Sunday, 7 p.m. LOX-DOX, Feb. 8. General von Hanueken, commandcr in-chi.ef of the German t'orces in*?hen mark from 1942 to 1945, who has been found in a prisoner of war camp in the British Zone of Ger-many disgi^ised as an ordinary Gennan soldier, is on the Allied war eriminal list. The Daily Telegraph 's Copenhagen eorrespondent says it is expeeted he will be handed over to Denmark for trial. Hannekei. was deprived of his command in Janu arv, 1945, degraded and sentenced to eight vears' hard labour for fraud. Soon afterwards he was pardoned by Hitler and given the cainmand of 8 company in the def'ence of Berlin wliere he was believed to have been killed.
