DISPLAY BY BANDS
M. H.
BOYCE,'
Sir, — May I once again encroach on your space, so generously given to our band during the past week, to thank all those people who contrifiured to yesterday's. successful bands' display. Without the serviccs of such people it would not be possible to run such a project, apd every individual bandsman is included. Special thanks are due to each band which attended so fully, the committee of the Levin Boys' Band, all the members of which worked so well, the Levin Borough Council for the grounds and hall to serve tea, members of the Legicn of Fronriorsmen, who acted as marshals and markers, the businessmen, who. contributed by donations and support, and the broadcasting un.it. Very special thanks to the ladies who so ably airanged and served tea to the visiting and local bandsmen after a most arduous day's playing. May I also mention that a Horowhenua Bands' Committee has been formed out of yesterday's. proceedihgs, and we hope to stage a similar t display at Otaki and Foxton. Yours etc..
Levin Boys' B.and. * Levin, Feb. 10.
