PAIRS GAMES CONTINUE

-Press Assvciation

By Telegraph-

WELLINGTON, Feb. 7. Fine weather continued today for the national bowling tournament. The pairs were continued and after today eight two-lifers and 48 one-lifers will remain. Once again most of the strongly favoured teams were successful. One pair whose play is attracting attention comprises Manning and Benson (Balmoral!, who were in. brilliant form this morning. A Seatoun team of Burd and Barrow, who were runners-up last year, '•etained two lives, as also did Ueorge and Livingstone (Onenunga) , who had an easy win. Hammond and Pavitt (Fitzroy) are another strong combination who will be hard to dispose of, but the issue is still too open for likely winners to be sorted out. Yesterday's singles results appexr on page 7.
