Eeceived Tuesday, 10 p.m. SYDNEY, Feb. 4. While many AustraJians, particularly oxservicemen, were frantically seeking accommodation, tlais. and new houses were being kept vacant for montlis to house aliens not yet arrived in Australia, declared Mr, K. Bolton, State president of the Retumed Soldier League, today. He said he had inspected two liomes at Mascot which had been empty for two mpnths despite hundreds of inquiries by would-be purchasers. These homes had been purcliased and kept for aliens. Thev were large modern residences with three bedrooms eaeh. The League is investigating other reports that aliens arriving by the Hwa lien were able to move immediately into flats which. had been held vacuut for two months.
