PRISONS TOO SMALL TO HOLD COAL LOOTERS ARRESTED IN GERMANY
Received Wed-nesday, 11.30 a.m. LONDON, Febrnary 4. The German police unleashed Alsatian police dogs to disperse thousands of coal looters in Hamburg, says Reuter's correspondent. The police, during the week, have arrested 4563 for looting in railway coalyards. They arrested more than 2000 the previous week and the prisons are insufftcient to house all the arrested. ' Miners' wives in the Ruhr picketed two Duisberg pits, urging their menfolk not to work until bread rations wero assured. A resolution appealing to "world conscienceM has been prepared for reading in the churehes of four Ruhr towns next Sunday. 4
