COMBINED BANDS' DISPLAY
Next Sunday, February 9, the Levin Boys' Band will present a combined bands display which is sure to interest both young and old aiike. Seven bands have signified their intention of taking port in a display at the Levin Domain, where proceedings will.begin at 2.15 p.m. The star attraction will be the contest quickstep which will be performed by the City Silver Band from Palmerston North. This will be an education to all who have not yet been fortunate enough to witness such a 1 display of music and marching as it is possible to combine in this movernent. Added to this, the hymn test and test selection to be presented at the Wanganui contest in March will also be played by this band. Other bands to contribute to a first class programme will be the Foxton Munieipal Band, Foxton Boys' Band of 33 players, Otaki Municipal Banu, Horowhenua Pipe, Levin Municipal, who have recently acquired their new uniforms, and lastly the Levin Boys' Band, who are the hosts on this occasion. There is no charge for admission. Donations towards the qost of the display will be thankfully received by the Levin Boys' Band, who are spunsoring this entertainment.
