LEVIN LADIES' ACTIVITIES A rink from the Levin Ladies' Bowling Club, comprising Mesdames B'agrie, Gibson, Stevens aiid Mudgway (s), played at Hokowhitu on Thursday last in a oneday tournament. Other ladie'S" teams competihg were from Napier (2) , Kilbirnie, Island Bay, Seatoun, Takaro, TerfaCe End (2) , Mandwatu ■ and Hokowhitu (2) . The Levin rink won 2'J games, while Hokowhitu's rink, skipped by Mrs. Stubbs, wOn all flVe matches. The Lett Brooches pairs competition played on Thursday resulted in a win for Mesdames H. Walker and Hayes (s) . On Saturday last twp rinks from the Paraparaumu Ladies' Cltib visited Levin. The games resulted as follows, Paraparaumu p'layers being mentioned first in eagli ease: Mesdames Newton, Young, Herbert and Henderson (s) 17, beat Mesdames McKinstry, Shell, Moss and C. Walker (s) . 16; Mesdames Richter, de La Roche, Jenkins and McCulloch (s) 13, beat Mesdames Seddon, H. Walker ,x Mitchell and Henderson (s) 10; Mrs. McCulloeh's rink 14, lost to Mesdames Seddon, Moss, Hayes and Stevens (s) 29; Mrs. Henderson's rink 29, beat Mesdames Wingfield, C. Walker. Hartstonge and Gibs'on (s) 14. Paraparaumu won the day by 73 points to Levin's 69. At the conclusion of the games Mm. Henderson, who is also president of the Wellington - Ladies' Bowling Centre, speaking op behalf of the Paraparaumu members, fhanked the Levin Club for a most enjoysble day and hoped that a retUrn match would be arranged. Members of the Seatoun Ladies' Bowling Club will be entertained tomorrow at the Levin ladies' green. The visitors will arrive at 11 a.m. and play will commence at 12.30 p.m. Levin'S Rinks Championship The fifth round of the Levin Bowling Club's rinks championship was played on Saturday in ideal conditions. Play resulted as follcws: Robertson, Stevens, B'all and G. W. Wilsoh (s) 13, lost to Hanson, Scott, Boulton and Young (s) 28; Gardiner, Nicholson, LarSen and G. F. Kilsby (s) 19, beat Bowden, McLeod, Carmichael and O'Connor (s) 14; Hynes, Harvey, H. S. Powell and Burnham (s) 20, beat Whitham. H. J. Henderson, Sherwood and Hill (s) 14.
