RECORD COLD WEATHER
Received Monday, 8 p.m. OTTAWA, Feb. 2. The coldest weather ever recorded on the Northern American Continent, was experienced at Snag Airport in the Yukon. Official thermometers which can record only to 80 degrees below zero were imable to cope with the tumbling temperature which is reported to he 83 below. As this figure was caicuiated. irom lmproviseci markings, the official figure was ^et at 81 degrees below zero.
