CHAMPION MARCHING TEAM FROM AUSTRALIA

AUCKLAND, Feb. 3. A party of 12 young girls arrived by Tasman fiyingboat from Sydney. It was, for most of them, their first air trip. They are the champion Australian girls ' marching team and band and they are to make a tour of the ' North lsland, eulminating with a contest with the winners of the New Zealand girls' marching' championships at Wanganui on February 14. Their ages range from 15 to 21 years and they come from Tamworth, New South Wales, where they are typists and sliop assistants. They are to leave Auckland tomorrow for New Plymouth where they will give tlieir first public display. From there they will go to Wanganui. The party will then proceed on a tour. giving displavs at Masterton, Palmerston North and Wellington.
