Bowry Rides Four Winners
The Pahiatua Racing Cluh's annual meeting- was concluded at Wodville on Saturday in gloridusly fine weather and the course, with the going fast, was in splendid order. The attendance was good and the totalisator handled £29,084, compared with £32,665 10s last year. The tptal for the meeting waS £52,594, as against £59,388 10s. One of the highlights of a grand day's racing was the riding of C. A. Bowry, who rode the winners of the first four races. The big races were vyon by-Tavern Light and White Cap. Tavern Light is owned and trained by Mr. G. W. Clarke, of Feilding, ' and White Cap is trained by A. Goodman, at Trentham, for Mr. H. F. Woods.
