The sideshows in particular are greater in number and wider in variety than for many years past. The gate takings for the first day amounted to £69 10s. That represents only*those who paid for admission,' but many hundreds more held members' tickets or exhibitors' passes, and it is safe to say that the attendance was the largest ever for a first day. ' Today is people's day and with fine weather again a verv large gathering is expected. The show will be open again tonight when a monster display by 18 girls' marchrng teams, in which 200 girls will participate, is to be staged..
