ANNUAL LAMB SALE

; . t The annual sale of draft lambs ! off the hill country was held at the ■ Shannon saleyards on Monday. The " stock came forward in good order, » heaithy and bright in wool and met r with spirited competition from a 1 good attendance of buyers. A line 1 of Dorset Horn cross wethers offered on behalf of Mr. G. T. Wilkinson brought 28s 6d each; 150 Romney wether lambs offered on behalf of Mr. H. Kilmister sold at 23s 4d, ! 21s ld and 21s each; two pens on ■ behalf of Mr. Lester realised 19s 3d ■ and 23s 4d each; woolly Down cross ; breed lambs offered on behalf of Mr. R. Scanlon sold at 24s ld each; 220 Romney wether lambs on behalf of Mr. R. M. Lange sold at 22s 3d each; cull lambs from the same vendor, 13s each; cull lambs from Messrs. J. and H. Kilmister brought 16s and 11s each, and a pen of cull ewe lambs 11s each. On behalf of Mr. S. H. Roberts, 70 lambs were sold for 18s each and 20 iwo-tooth wethers realised . 29s each. Late shorn wethers offered on behalf of Mr. G. T. Wilkinson sold at 28s each; Southdown rams, full mouth, realised up to £6 16s 6d. Cattle: 'A truck of P.A. cows offered on behalf of Mr. L. H. Best sold at £11 10s each. A truck of cows, ex-dairy, realised £7 6s each, and another truck sold at £6 4s each. Odd cows, ex-dairy, sold at from £4 16s to £8 15s each. Cows and calves, cross bred, at £8 15s, and weaner dairy heifers, mixed oolours, at £9 to £3 each. *
