CRUCIAL CONFERENCE OF MOSLEM LEAGUE
Received Wednesday, 9.30 p.m. LONDON, .Jan. 29. The Times' Delhi correspondent says members of the All-lndia Moslem League working connnittee are jiovi gathered at Karachi for today 's meet. ing which will discuss the League 's at titude to qualilied ac.ceptance by Cou gress of the British Government 's statement and whether or not the League should enter the Constituent Assembly. The atmosphere for the dis cussions is far from propilioils and feel ings are running high but some inform ed observers doubt whether Air. .Jinnah and his colleagues will be guilly of such bad tactics as to put themselves in tlie wrong by rejeeting the Congress ofl'ei out of hand. It is thought more likely they will follow the Oongress exftmph by returning a qualilied answer in Veighing against both the British Gov erntnent and Oongress but not rejeeting constitutional courses or flatly refusing to partu-ipate in the Constituent As seinbly. At all events it is certain that this Karachi meeting is crueial and holds the key to peaceful progress oi civil strife in liulia during the comiiig months. The Lahore police again arrested a nuniber of prominent Punjab Afosleni League leaders shortly aftei midnight including Ivhan of Namdot, I'residen. of the Punjab Aloslem League, Bi. Firoz Klian Noon, former High Coni missioner in London and Alian Aoirud dtn, Aiayor of Lahore, says Hunter', correspondent.
