FRENCH GOING "VERY WELL" IN INDO-CHINA
Received Thursday, 10 a.m. LONDON, Jan. 29. A French military spokesman said that from a military viewpoint ' the internal situation in Indo- 1 China was going "very well," reports Reuter's Saigon correspondent. The spokesman added that the French controlled most of Hanoi, includine' part of the Chinese Annamite quarter. French infantry and armoured units were consolidating their positions on the outskirts of the city.
