ROTORUA, Jan. 2G. A report which aj>pcared in an Auckland city paper on Thursday saying Lliat the Australian fly-casting cluuupiou, JMajor T. H. Brumi, was to meet him in a friendly competition Avas Ihe lirst notification that Mr. F. Lord, of Rotorua, has reeeived of the pending contest. Mr. Lord said that he was fully prcparod to meet Major Brunn and suggesled that the contest should be stagcd at Ohau Ohanuel. Mr. Lord holds what is bclicved to be an Australasian record in the lightweight class when he cast 34 yards at a Rotorua Rod and (Jun Olub competitioii 011 Ihe Duirau Uomain in 1940 with a Gjoz. rod. Major Brunn holds the Australian record of 38 yards two feet, but it is believed he competes in the heavy-wreight class.
