After leaving his lawyers he went to headquarters to eoniplete the arniy discharge t'onnalities. He said lie could not state exactly what he had lost through the -aneellation of his commission though Itis personal loss in iighting the trenson charge in the eourt was £0000. Ile intended to try to reeover part of this froni the fJoveruniput. Former senior oliieers of ihe Eighth Australian Divi.-ion today protested against the Military P>oard's decision and will demand a full explanation. The authorities state that the eancellation will entail a loss of £1">() in casli to 'Major Cousens including his wai" gratuity, re-establishment and war serviee leave pav as well as the many benefits offered servieemen.
